Is the ATTACK SHARK Rainbow Cloud wrist rest worth it? We break down its comfort, support, and fit so you can decide if it suits your setup.
Quick Answer
The ATTACK SHARK Rainbow Cloud wrist rest is a comfortable, budget-friendly pick if you want soft support and a playful look, but it's not a rigid ergonomic solution for heavy-duty typing sessions.
Why the Rainbow Shape Matters
The rainbow cloud design isn't just for looks. Its curved waist is shaped to follow your wrist's natural angle, which can help reduce pressure points during long gaming or typing sessions. Unlike flat rectangular rests, the contour encourages a more neutral wrist position.
Memory Foam Trade-Offs
Ultra-soft memory foam feels plush right away, but it also means the rest compresses under heavier pressure. If you tend to lean hard on your wrist, you might find it bottoms out faster than a firmer gel or acrylic rest. For light to moderate use, though, it provides a cozy cushion that molds to your wrist.
Who Should Skip It
If you need a firm, flat surface to keep your wrist perfectly aligned for precise mouse work, this soft rest may not give you the stability you want. Similarly, if you prefer a minimal desk setup, the rainbow shape and color might be more visual flair than you're after.
Decision Rules
- Choose it if: You want a soft, plush wrist rest that adds a fun pop of color to your desk and you type or game for moderate sessions without heavy leaning.
- Skip it if: You need firm, rigid support to keep your wrist perfectly straight during long, intense typing marathons or you prefer a minimalist, neutral look. Consider a firmer gel or acrylic rest instead.
- Verify fit: Check the length of the rest against your keyboard's width. The rainbow curve is designed for standard keyboards, but if you use a compact or oversized board, measure to ensure it covers the area you need. Measure your keyboard before buying.
